19 Days? Are you kidding me?!! Weight loss Journey Week???!!!!

Hey everyone! How was your week? My kiddos just started school again last week so I’m trying to get in this new groove of all the changes. Now that ALL my kiddos are in school full days I’ve decided its time to get back to working on me.

It has been weeks since I have given any updates on my weight loss journey and after catching up on tons of reviews and some other posts I thought it was time to check in. For those of you that are new here, I started a weight loss journey at the beginning of the year and was making great progress. I had lost almost 50 lbs!

Then I fell into a depression, Summer vacation started, the days at the gym could no longer happen as much, and I found that not counting calories IS way much easier than tracking what I ate!

My husband and I vowed that when the kiddos started school this year we were going to get back to the gym and get back on track. Just thinking about going back made me nervous because I hadn’t been in so long that I felt like the very first time I was going in. Would they remember me, would they shun me because I hadn’t been in so long? Or even do I look fatter then before? =(

Well needless to say I got my courage up and we started going to the gym again this week. It had been so long since we went that I didn’t realize that somewhere/somehow I misplaced all of our membership cards that I had on a lanyard. We called the gym to see if anyone had found them or maybe someone was using them and then they told me it had been 19 days since I had been in. 19 DAYS!!! Almost 3 weeks since I had stepped foot in the gym. I couldn’t even believe it. Along with that I don’t even know what week this is for me, all I know is I started Jan. 1 and I just have to keep pushing forward.

I’m hoping that now that things have calmed down here quite a bit I will be able to get back to my weekly check ins with you 😉

Until next time, thanks for visiting!

Ahhhhhhhh it can be tough to stay on track with fitness goals! I think we all slip up sometimes, but as long as we get back to it, all is good!

It’s amazing what you can handle when you put your mind to something…good for you for sticking with it and making these positive changes!

I hope you’re able to get back into a routine without much stress! I assume the first few times back at the gym will be the most jarring. After that it might feel normal again.

Be sure to get back at it!!! Congrats on the loss, having kids home can be so hard for being able to get work outs in, love your husband is so supportive!

Good luck with your weight loss journey. It is so hard to stay committed to a work our routine. I am going to try to walking every afternoon. I had a pretty good routine, but them got so busy.

I am happy that you are back into it now. It is never to late to pick up were you left off either. Good luck and can’t wait to hear your progress next week.

I had a very long summer break . I skipped the gym and spent most of my time with my kids. I gained weight!

  • Jenny

Congrats on the 50lb weight loss! I lost about 38lbs, put on a few, then lost some again after i had my daughter. You can do it!!

  • Dina

Congrats on losing 50 lbs! That’s an accomplishment! I’m working on my weight loss and have lost and kept 7 lbs off but need to move it forward to lose more!

  • Dana

It is so hard to stay on track of anything whenever the kids are home. I think that I find myself eating the worst types of meals when the kids are around because I get so tired after creating their meals I have no energy left to create my proper meals. Good luck on your journey keep it up

Its so easy to get out of the “habit” of working out. I love going to the gym but I also love doing DVD’s in my home. I know I can just turn one on and not worry about leaving the house. Good luck with your journey

50-lbs is an awesome achievement! I have this on-again, off-again relationship with my weight / fat loss journey. I started strong back in Feb but slacked off for 2 whole months starting June because I got sick and because of work. Getting back into the gym was a little challenging but I’m slowly working on it.

I am so rooting for you. It’s always going to be challenging, but you’ve come so far. As you said, you need to keep pushing forward so … go go go 🙂

Don’t beat yourself up for it being 19 days. Just get back on track and take one day at a time. You got this!
