Hey everyone! It’s been 4 weeks since my husband and I started our weight loss journey this year and so far things are going pretty good. My husbands blood sugar has come down a lot, enough not to need insulin and hopefully someday he can ditch the oral meds for diabetes.
We are still cooking in the kitchen and we are preparing all our meals from scratch which takes a lot of time and now I can see why we just ordered out or just ate boxed meals, etc. before. It’s time-consuming but it’s well worth it, or I hope it is at least. =)
Last week I was suffering from a lot of fatigue and feel the same way this week as well but still trucking right along. I have added a few more days of exercise tapes in and during one, my chest started to hurt so I asked my doctor if that was okay to continue. Knowing that my heart is okay (or was at least the last time I had testing) she said it was fine as long as I wasn’t completely short of breath. I’m a little scared to proceed but will take it easy next time.
My husband had one of his upper teeth extracted this week and it left a whole in his sinus so he hasnt’ been able to eat very much and definitely had to stay away from exercise while he heals. He’s been joking that it will probably help with weight loss. 😉
So enough of me rambling on, our weigh in results for week 4 is… I am down 3lbs and my husband is down 3lbs as well. =) Total weight loss to date is 20lbs between the both of us. I’m really looking forward to feeling a lot better and this new way of eating.
