Deciding to follow a new career path is a huge step for you. You’re going to be doing something that is hopefully going to be better for you and make you more money, meaning that your quality of life gets better! But it’s hard to decide what career you want to follow, a lot of careers will require you to have vocation specific qualifications that not a lot of us have, so what are the most prosperous careers that everyone can do? Well, if you read on, you’ll find out about them!

Precious Metal Investor

Precious metals have been around for a very long time, and will continue to be, so there is money to be made off them! It’s a very stable market to get into and is probably one of the best to get into because of this. Gold is the main metal that is traded because of it’s historic and technological value as it’s used in almost every electrical device that we own, of course you can invest in others such as platinum and silver but gold is the most safe out of all of them, but why is the precious metal market so stable? Well, it’s because that gold and other materials are very finite resources; they are becoming rarer and rarer by the day, which means that the price of the metals is going to consistently go up, meaning that it’s a very safe market to play in because there is a miniscule chance of it collapsing so you’re not going to have to worry about losing any money on this! You’re going to be able to choose when you’re going to buy it and sell it, meaning that you’ve got time to yourself to enjoy with your family! However, the trick with the gold market is that you have to have capital to make capital; the growth of gold prices is slow and you’re going to need to buy a lot to be able to trade with people who are going to buy it for more than you bought it for so you can be making a profit out of it, however once you have enough money to get you going then you’re going to be sorted!

Real Estate Investor

Similar to precious metals, but different, is being a real estate investor, but what actually is real estate? We hear it thrown around a lot on the TV and the radio, but there’s not a clear definition to what it means. Real estate refers to any kind of property that can be legally purchased, which is why houses come into play hugely and are the main way that real estate investor make their money. Investors will purchase a house that is cheap because it has not been renovated. The unrenovated state can be a mess, and so it’s the reason why the properties are much cheaper because people aren’t willing to buy a house, with the intention to move in, if it’s not in a liveable condition. The investor will then put a lot of money into renovating the house, making it ready for someone to move in. This adds a lot of value onto the property, often adding more value onto the property than was put into it to get it into the renovated condition that it is in. This means that, when the investor comes to do something with it, they can sell it for way more than they purchased the property for or they can rent it out for more than they would have been able to! You can choose to do your renovation and property purchasing whenever you like, and you’re going to be able to take your kids with you too! And once it’s been done you can sit at home and relax until the next one comes along so it can work around you. Renting and selling are two different things that you can do with your property, renting is a more stable and consistent flow of cash that comes from your tenant, and selling is a huge one time cash injection, so think carefully about your needs before you decide to either sell or rent your property!

Start A Business

This is one of the most fulfilling and satisfying things on this list, and that is starting your own business up. Businesses are the main way that people earn money in the 21st century, and whilst you might not rise to dominate the market that you chose to go into, you can still rake in a fair amount of cash from owning a business! You’re going to be able to be your own boss and do what you want to do, but this comes with a lot of stress, time and money that has to go into a business to make it work. You’re going to need to take out a business loan, these loans have very large repayment times and have very little interest meaning that you can get the money that you need to buy all of your equipment and resources that you need to get going because most people won’t have the cash available in their own bank accounts to set up a business! You’re going to have to be careful with the way that you handle your startup business because they are very prone to collapsing. Because funds are very limited, one wrong purchase could mean that you’ve not got the money that you need in order to carry on with your business because perhaps you’ve purchased the wrong bit of equipment, or maybe you’ve spent money advertising in the wrong place. Because of this, it takes the most skill out of all of the things that are on this list because you need to have your head fixed on properly in order to see what you should and shouldn’t be spending your money on! However once you get past the startup phase of your business it’ll be a smooth ride and you’ll have more money than you ever thought you would! Businesses require a lot of attention and care, but in the beginning you’re going to be able to work from home and then once it’s up on it’s feet you can choose your hours or still work at home, meaning that you can spend more time with the people you love.

Freelance Writing

A lot of people think that writing is an exclusive skill that people are born with and that it’s very hard to attain through practice, but in reality it’s not, in fact it’s very accessible to everyone! Some people are born naturally good at writing, but it’s practise and training of techniques that makes you a good writer, and with the technology we have access to in the 21st century this couldn’t be any easy to do. Getting set up as a freelancer is very easy, all you have to do is signup and complete your profile on websites like upwork and apply for the different jobs that people advertise! The great bit about being freelance is that you can choose what work you do and when so it’s flexible around you.  The second thing you’re going to need to do is learn how to write by taking some online writing courses that give you the skills and knowledge of different techniques that you need to get you off the ground! Once you’ve started entry level jobs, your skills and knowledge will then only get better the more time you spend working, so your career will start to snowball so you can start making lots of money when it suits you!

Become A Tradesman

Working in the trades is something that is never going to go out of fashion, and it’s something that everyone can be taught to do regardless of your previous experience, so how do you do it? Well, you’re going to have to apply for a job with a building business, the rest will then follow! A lot of building companies provide in house training for people who have little to no experience, meaning that you can apply, start working and get trained without having to pay a penny or have any previous qualifications, meaning that it’s accessible to everyone! Once you’ve started you’re going to have loads of opportunities to rise within your company, a lot of the work is going to be seasonal which means that you get a lot of time off to be with your family, and once you’ve gotten enough experience behind you, you’re going to be able to go freelanceand do as work as and when it suits you so you can be with your family as often as you like!

Any of these things are open to everyone, no matter what your skills, money and background are. You could start investing money in precious metals, hiding them away until the time is right to sell them for more than you purchased them for, making huge amounts of money and only being able to buy more and make more! You could become a property investor, take out a loan and buy a house, do it up and sell it on to make a massive return or do it to multiple properties and rent them all out for a handsome monthly sum. You could start your own business and take any direction you want to, maybe entering a market that you’ve always dreamed of and leading a success business that might be good enough to reach the towering heights of the industry! Or maybe you want to do something that’s a little bit more low key and manageable to do, like becoming a freelance writer and getting to chose who you work for and when,  or getting trained from a novice to a master builder and working outside of an office to escape the daily grind, you can do all of these things because they require very little previous experience, you’ll just need to put the hard work and brains into it, and the best bit about them is that they are all on your terms so you can choose when you work! This is a great way to bring the family closer together and enjoy your time more as a unit.
