Have you been looking for a healthier way to sweeten up your morning cup of coffee or trying to find ways to bake without using regular sugar? I know I have, and I’m so glad that I recently found out about Monk Fruit In The Raw.

Monk Fruit In The Raw is a zero calorie sweetener that is made of monk fruit, a vine-ripened fruit native to Asia. It tastes like real sugar and can be purchased in both packets and bakers bags.

Just recently I got to host a MommyParty and couldn’t wait to try it out with different recipes.

monkfruit On the InTheRaw website they have many recipes for drinks, desserts and more. I chose a couple of simple ones for the kiddos to help make. They are a big fan of berries so we started with a yummy frozen treat. This is so simple and easy to make, your kiddos will have fun helping with this one.

What you will need:

  • Blender
  • 1 cup frozen berries- any that you like (we used Blueberries)
  • 1/2 cup Orange Juice
  • 2 Packets Monk Fruit In The Raw

Instructions:

  • Blend berries, orange juice, and Monk Fruit In The Raw in blender. All depending on if you want to make it as a smoothie or a frozen treat to eat with a spoon increase or decrease the orange juice.

The kids liked eating it with a spoon. They said it tasted really good. I have to agree.

The next recipe we tried was the Sweet and Salty popcorn. I’ve made a lot of popcorn on the stove top but never have made it sweet and salty. Since cooking with oil can be very hot, we left this recipe for the adults to make.

What you will need:

  • Large cooking pan with cover
  • Popcorn kernels
  • Coconut oil- or whatever oil you want to use
  • Monk Fruit In The Raw bakers bag
  • Salt

To make:

Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in large pan, add the amount of popcorn kernels you want to cook and 4 tablespoons of Monk Fruit in The Raw from your bakers bag. As soon as you hear the first kernel pop, while using oven mits to protect your arms and hands shake the pan back and forth above the stove top until all or most of the kernels have popped. Add salt and enjoy! =)

Most of the kids and adults had never had Sweet and Salty popcorn made at home. Let’s just say I had to make some again because everyone wanted more.

mommypartyAfter trying out our recipes we played the S.W.E.E.T word game. As you can see above I wasn’t able to fill it all out and was stumped with some of them lol. We all thought it was a pretty fun game though. The guests of course loved their samples of Monk Fruit In The Raw boxes and branded tote bags. =)
