Country Living

If I had to choose between living in the city or living in the country I definitely have to pick living in the country. 6 years ago I bought my home and it is definitely in the country lol. I guess we could be deeper in the country but at least 20 minutes from here is bigger stores, ect. I love It here! 🙂 What I love most about living in the country is Spring and Summer.  The birds chirping, the pretty scenery, and most favorite is having a place to grow flowers and make a veggie garden. Year after year I have learned more and more about gardening. I’m really hoping this year that  my garden does better then it has before. I picked 6 different veggies to grow this year so it wasn’t so overwhelming this time. I chose: peas, green beans, cucumbers, lettuce, green peppers and squash. I do have a strawberry plant and some chives growing which are easy because they come back every year. 😉

I started my pepper plants inside a few weeks ago. Today I decided after hardening them off the past week or so that I would transplant them outside. I did cover them up this evening and will probably do that for the next week or so just in case. I’m very excited about it and can’t wait to watch my veggies grow, and of course the end result is to be able to go outside and gather some veggies to make a nice fresh salad or make my son some home made baby food straight from the garden! 🙂
