For the past year or so I have been making monthly menus for my family. We pick out 7 meals that everyone agrees on and try to make it as healthy as we can. Each day we have something different and every Monday is the same as the Monday before and so on and so on. Having 5 kiddos and cooking for 7 it is way easier to look on the menu the day before and take out what needs to be taken out and there is no rushing at supper time to figure out what we are having. Friday nights we have a pizza night. My kiddos definitely love their pizza but we figured it was healthier to make it ourselves. Not to mention they love helping prepare it. =) We usually make 2 pizzas and this is what we use to make it as low-calorie and healthiest we can.
16 inch wheat dough ball (we split this up to make 2 10″ pizzas)
- 1/2 Jar of 14 ounce pizza sauce (split between both pizzas)
- 1 7 oz Bag of Fat-Free mozzarella Cheese (split between both pizzas)
- 1 2.5 ounce package of Turkey Pepperoni (split between both pizzas)
It’s pretty simple and you can add anything else to it too. Doesn’t take long to prepare and the kiddos have fun helping cook too. =)
