I did it! I finally did it! What did I specifically do? Well quite a bit since the first of this year. At the beginning of the year instead of making resolutions I made some goals and thought about what I wanted to see happen differently this year. Not that we can always choose what the entire years outcome will bring us but we can hope that some things we want to happen for change happens.
This past week I have had NO soda, NO take out of any kind, NO PIZZA (one of our biggest downfalls) and all of our meals for the entire family have been made from scratch. NO more 5 minute drive through the window or throwing something in the microwave for a boxed meal. With those meals though, gets pretty time-consuming having to wash vegetables and fruits, chop, dice or whatever we may be doing at that time for a meal but I actually love it! Even my husband is loving it and spends a lot of time with me preparing and cooking too. He even bought me a wok this past week because we were to have stir-fry that evening lol.
This past week I also did one of my exercise tapes I haven’t done in years. It was only 15 minutes, and yes it pretty damn near killed me but it felt great to do it and hoping that as the more I eat healthier and lose weight it will become easier to do with some limitations of course. Knowing all the health problems I have as well as my husband eating healthier and getting our heart rate up should help us feel better.
Although my husband and I are not following a specific diet we are aiming to lose weight and will be checking our progress weekly. For our first week my husband is down 3 lbs and I’m down 6 lbs. =)
