Lowe’s Build and Grow Holiday Clinic

Have you ever taken your kiddo to a Lowe’s Build and Grow Clinic before? I didn’t even realize until recently after seeing an ad online that Lowe’s offered this great clinic for kids. After visiting their Build & Grow website I noticed they had a clinic coming up that very weekend to make a Holiday Train. My children and I love the holidays and have never done anything like the building clinics before so I thought I would surprise them.

It was very easy to sign up online. Their website lets you add your childs information so you don’t have to keep filling it out every time you sign up for a clinic. After you sign up for the one you want to attend they will send a confirmation email to the email you provide that includes the waiver form that you will need to sign and bring with you.

Lowe's-workshopAs soon as we got to Lowe’s we found a few tables set up in the far end of the store. There was a couple of employees near the area so we asked them if we were in the right place and they replied “Yes your are.” They had us come up to the desk and I gave them the paper I had printed out. They then had us grab little hammers and the kiddos all got their own pair of goggles, apron and Holiday Train Kit (these items were theirs to keep even after the Clinic, the hammer gets returned though).

Lowe'sWorkshopAs soon as my kiddos got their supplies we found an empty table to sit at. Our youngest is a little too young to be able to put the kit together so daddy helped him and I helped our youngest daughter. The instructions were pretty simple and had step by step directions. The kiddos had fun using the hammers and nails to put together their masterpieces. They really loved the red light that shined when they pressed down on the top of the train.

When everyone had their train complete we returned the hammers to the nice ladies behind the desk and the kiddos then got a certification of completion and a cute badge.

Lowe's-ChristmasThe kiddos had a blast and can’t wait for the next clinic which I believe is around Valentine’s Day.

We did this project at Lowes too…we just love the free kid craft workshops that they have to offer. While we’re there, we always end up buying something so it’s a great program to get the parents to bring the kids in 😉
