Meatloaf WEMAKE7 style =)

Having a large family means being busy a lot! As far as meal planning goes I normally make monthly meal plans and then shop accordingly. One of our suppers during the week is Meatloaf. I’m one that just throws different foods together without looking at a recipe and hopes that It comes out okay. Sometimes the ingredients changes all depending on my cooking mood that evening and this past Meatloaf I decided to add an extra ingredient this time. =)

What I use:

  • Ground Turkey (we use 3lbs)
  • 1 Egg
  • Steak Sauce
  • 1/2 Onion- chopped
  • 1/2-1 cup Bread crumbs
  • 1/2 package of Hidden Valley Ranch (this is something new I tried this time)

To prepare; I preheat the oven to 375 degrees. I chop up 1/2 an onion and set aside. Inside a large bowl I add all the turkey burger, the chopped onion, 1 egg, 1/2 -1 cup bread crumbs, 1/2 package of Hidden Valley Ranch mix, and 1/4 cup of Steak sauce (I never measure like I mentioned before so you could use however much you wanted to). =)

Either use a spoon or your hands to mix the ingredients well. The egg and bread crumbs will help hold the meatloaf together. Add to a non greased pan and bake on 375 degrees for 40-45 minutes. I always use a meat thermometer to make sure it is fully cooked before taking out of the oven. My kiddos favorite sides with meatloaf is carrots and potatoes so that’s what we pair it with.  That’s our Meatloaf recipe. =)

    Yeah for meatloaf! Our favorite go to comfort food in our house. Love your recipe and pictures. I also use Hidden Valley in mine. It is a handy trick. I think I will have to get some stuff tomorrow for a meatloaf night. Yummy!

    My kids love meatloaf too! I don’t use turkey though. (That’s expensive here), I use a mixture of ground pork and ground beef, season it with the same ingredients as yours. The only difference though is that I make them into large rolls, wrap it in foil and steam it. That way, the loaf comes out juicy and moist.
