New Year! New ME with Weight Watchers New Simple Start Program! =)

Wow! Can you believe the new year is already here and the month of January is almost gone? Every year on New Years Eve I make the same resolution that I am going on a diet. Well needless to say I didn’t even make it a month this year! So now I’m going to do something different to save me the disappointment; instead of going on a diet I’m going to make a change!

Making even the tiniest change can really add up. This year I’m going to stop counting calories and choose healthier foods. I’m going to get rid of the temptation foods in my home and replace them with more nutritious and healthy snacks. I’m also using Weight Watchers new “Simple Start” program to help me on that path of healthier eating.

Simple Start is pretty “Simple” if you ask me. =) It’s a program through Weight Watchers lasting 2 weeks that you start before using the tracking feature. Sometimes it can be pretty overwhelming when trying to make changes so not having to worry about how many points are in certain foods at the beginning is awesome!

 I am following the plan online and love how easy it was to sign up. It was very simple and has so much information. You can even track your weight online with weekly weigh ins and more. The Simple Start program gives you lists of simple foods to start eating along with meals and snack ideas. I printed off their grocery list and went shopping for foods that we didn’t currently have in our home to have on hand. It’s easier to eat healthy when healthier options are there to grab. 😉 They even have a smart phone app that you can use to help keep on track no matter where you’re at. I’m very excited to be starting the Simple Start program and continuing on with the tracking after. I can’t wait to check in with all of you again and let you know how it’s going. =)

    I never liked weight watchers. I have been using Myfitnesspal and I got a fitbit for Christmas. I am really loving my plan right now. And I’m down 7lbs! I am glad you are making a lifestyle change! Diets are just not feasible in the long run 🙂

    I hate counting calories. I’m doing also a simple start including extra water, more vegetables and fruit and less sugar & bread. I want a complete change but done little by little.

    You stated one of the most important things in weight loss “instead of going on a diet I’m going to make a change!”. That is fantastic that you are going to make the change. This does not happen overnight it takes time and if you have a cheat day, whatever just think about what you can do tomorrow to balance it out.

    I find it much easier to stick to a diet plan when things are spelled out right in front of me, and I can plan ahead to make certain meals, and easily cook a whole bunch of healthy go-tos that fit into my diet plan. Those lil’ 1-cup containers are my best friend.
