Being a family of seven and having busy lives most evenings get very hectic around supper time. Once a week we make it a point to all together choose a meal to make that evening. Everyone takes turns helping prepare and it is a really great way to get away from life’s hustle and bustle and spend quality time together. The kiddos love measuring out ingredients and stirring while we are cooking. They also love seeing the masterpiece we all create when we are done.

Sometimes we get creative and make our own recipes or put a new twist on an old one. One evening we decided to use one of our favorite Ragú products and get Saucesome! =)

Ragú is recognizing and celebrating everything that makes family mealtime Saucesome. From unique recipes to silly moments to crazy weeknights..it’s all Saucesome with the delicious help of Ragú Sauce!

That evening we made Chili Mac and put a big spin on it and turned it into an Alfredo Chili Mac.

Alfredo Chili Mac

  • 1 lb Turkey Burger
  • 1 Jar Ragú® Classic Alfredo- Ragú  Classic Alfredo has a delicious taste your whole family will love.
  • 1 tbsp. chili Powder
  • 1 cup peas
  • 16 oz Cavatappi- uncooked
  • French fried onions

Ragu, #SAUCESOME, chilmac, recipe, alfredo The kiddos decided that while we were getting ready to cook they would snack on some of the fried onions.

Ragu, #SAUCESOME, chilmac, recipe, alfredo Directions:

Start out by cooking the turkey burger in a large skillet stirring occasionally while making a silly face until done.

Ragu, #SAUCESOME, chilmac, recipe, alfredo Meanwhile while the turkey burger is browning, boil enough water to thoroughly cook the Cavatappi. Cook until done. Drain and set aside.

When the turkey burger is done add the Alfredo Sauce and Chili Powder and stir well. Bring to a boil then simmer on low heat for 10 minutes. Try pouring the sauce with a straight face. 😉

Next add the cooked Cavatappi and peas and stir well.

Top with French fried onions and enjoy!

The Alfredo Chili Mac came out really good and we all enjoyed it. It was a great evening spending time being silly and making a new meal together. I think we should do it more often.

We do a lot of sauce dishes, they save a lot of prep time and the kids love that they taste good (and are messy and fun if you are a 1,2 or 3 year old boy). The variety now is amazing.

  • Tonya C

That sounds yummy to use alfredo. My kids love mac-n-cheese and would probably love this dish too.

  • Erin

I would have never thought of something like this but it’s clearly a hit! I’m going to have to add this to my meal rotation!

  • Krystal

I love easy dinners like this. Pasta is my favorite. Love how you added this sauce to the mix. YUMM!

  • Marie

This looks really good! I’m making this! Look at those faces, looks like they’re having a really good time preparing this special meal. And Yes, family time is very important!

  • CourtneyLynne

Not gunna lie… This sounds pretty tasty!!! Don’t mind me if you happen to see me post my attempt of this on Instagram or something because this is definitely going on next weeks dinner menu 😉

  • Digna

Looks great. My son would love this if I changed the veggie. He’s not a pea fan but I can see using this base recipe for making many things. Thank you for sharing.

  • Mistee Dawn

That looks so good! I love anything with Alfredo sauce! And this recipe just sounds perfect. Thanks for sharing it!

  • Cara (@StylishGeek)

How absolutely yummy! My family is going to go crazy over your Alfredo Chili Mac! I need to make sure to follow your recipe (but perhaps use Turkey in my case!) and serve it up over dinner! Thank you for sharing.

  • Rebecca Swenor

This sounds and looks totally amazing. I so love anything with alfredo sauce. Yummy!! I am so making this for sure. Thanks so much for the recipe.

  • Chubskulit Rose

We used ground turkey nowadays now too because ground beef is just too pricey. I would love to try this recipe with the alfredo sauce, looks tasty,.

  • Sara

This looks so delicious and wholesome – I can’t wait to try and make it. I need something very warm and filling like this for my dinner – at the minute the cupboard looks bare!

  • Jenn @TheRebelChick

I really love making chili mac and cheese but I have never tried making it with an alfredo sauce before. I am going to have to give your recipe a try, I bet that my family would really love it! Thanks so much for sharing your recipe!

  • Jenn @TheRebelChick

I really love making chili mac and cheese, but I have never tried making it with an alfredo sauce! I am going to have to give your recipe a try, I bet my family would love it! Thanks so much for sharing your recipe!

  • Lynndee

Our son loves mac and cheese, but we haven’t tried one using an Alfredo sauce. That is really interesting. But I think he would love it.

  • Michelle @ Dishes and Dust Bunnies

This sounds like a really great and simple meal to make for the family! Thanks for the recipe – can’t wait to try it!

  • Rosey

  • Jeanine

Yum! This sounds amazing. Ragu is one of our favorite sauces. So good. We love meals like this.. My kids especially love these types of meals!

  • rochkirstin

It’s hard to satisfy the tastes and preferences of all seven members in the family in one go. Choosing food that they will like can be hard, no? The Alfredo Chili Mac must taste really good!

  • HilLesha

That looks so scrumptious! It has been ages since I have had alfredo. 🙂

  • onceuponamaritime

This recipe sounds like something my family would love! I am surely going to give this recipe a try this week, it looks so good.

  • Jenni E. {Sweet Pennies from Heaven}

My husband would eat alfredo EVERY day if he could. We buy Ragu alot!

  • Tammilee TIps

I love Ragu sauce!! This sounds delicious, I never would have thought to pair up turkey with Alfredo sauce like this!

  • Kisa Johnson

The kids and I love Chicken Alfredo and Ragu has some great Alfredo Sauce!
Alfredo Chili Mac is an interesting take on it though! I would have never thought to try it. Though one time I did use some left over chicken that had a little bit of taco seasoning on it, it was left over from Nacho night. Anyway, it was pretty good!

  • Liz Mays

Ooh that does sound like a perfect dinner recipe. What a great use of Alfredo sauce!

  • Alli

I always have Ragu tomato sauce in the pantry. I keep forgetting that they make an alfredo sauce, too. Your chili mac looks delicious.

  • Megan Elford

Looks delicious! I didn’t realize that Ragu now has an Alfredo sauce! I love using Alfredo sauce on our pasta every once in awhile to give us a break from tomato sauce. It really steps it up a notch!

  • lisa

This looks so good! I make homemade hamburger helper so I’m sure my kids would love this too!

  • Christy Maurer

That looks really easy to make! I love quick meals that are tasty too! Thanks for sharing this!

  • Stacie @ Divine Lifestyle

OMG, that looks delicious! I make chili mac all the time, but I’ve never tried it with alfredo sauce before. Yum!

  • R U S S

That Alfredo Chili Mac looks delicious ( I’m sure it is because you guys used Ragu – love it! ) and I bet what made it more yummy would be that preparing the meal was a family affair.

  • Terry

I bet my Grandkids would love this. They love alfredo so, this has got to be a shoe in for them.

  • Robin (Masshole Mommy)

That sounds delicious. We love things like this for dinner in our family. I have to make this for them and SOON!
