Just the other day my oldest daughter said to me “Mom, should I go to college?” All of a sudden it hit me. My baby girl that I brought home from the hospital many years earlier is starting her first year of high school in 2 weeks!

It’s been a few years since I went to college and I can vaguely remember the process but remember very well the headaches that came along with planning everything. From trying to get scholarships to trying to figure out what I wanted to be it was very tedious.

That experience is not something I want my daughter to go through.

Knowing that my daughter is asking about college I’m glad that we just recently found out about Kaplan’s KapMap.

What is a KapMap?

KapMap is a month-by-month breakdown of everything you need to know about getting into college, all in one place. It helps you know:

  • When to apply
  • Why test prep matters
  • How to apply for financial aid
  • What to consider when choosing a college

We both sat down and downloaded the FREE KapMap and checked out Kaplan’s website. The first thing I noticed was how easy their website was to navigate. Downloading the month by month map was very easy as well and I love the layout of it. It shows you each month of each year in high school and gives you tips that you can do those months to ready yourself for college.

There was a few things I didn’t know that is a good idea in the planning process is to participate in after school activities and make sure your taking a good solid course load.

Now that we know of Kaplan’s Test Program and all of the other great features on their website I feel more at ease with my daughter’s journey.

I think the KapMap is a great tool for anyone that is on that journey to college. Download your FREE KapMap today by clicking HERE. To learn more about Kaplan visit Kaptest.com.

You can also find them on Facebook and Twitter.

Kaplan is offering my readers a great discount! Save $100 when you enroll in Kaplan’s SAT and ACT course through 8/28.* Promocode: SHESPEAKS100.

Are you or someone else you know currently going through the college planning process?

This sounds like a great APP. I think the process of going to college is really a pain in the butt. I rushed into it and it took some time to realize I choose the wrong school. 2 years later with many breaks I am now much happier in a new school after doing the research I should have.

KapMap is a great way to prepare your daughter to college. Gah, time flies so fast. We better start planning our son’s educational needs. I think we don’t have Kaplan here in our country and I hope we will have soon.

Kap Map would really help a student ease into the changes in college life. They’ll also be guided on what their benefits are as a student.
