Time for a new change!

flowers I’m pretty excited for this week coming up for everyone involved actually. =) The kiddos are heading back to school and ready to get back in the routine of seeing their school friends and meeting new ones. I am excited because today I have set aside food to donate and went out and bought new groceries for the house that is healthier for us. I got rid of all food and drinks that are processed and full of crap. Along with this new change, I am excited to finally being able to work on ME!!!!

With the 4 oldest kids being in school during the week I now will have time to exercise and plan meals better without having to rush into making something fast. I hate how I feel when I wake up every morning not having energy to do much. I’m very curious to how everyone is going to feel after eating healthier food and not eating certain foods that we have been. I have a feeling that we will probably feel ten times better!

Over this Summer I have really let myself go. I’ve been battling with my weight for years now and it was so hard this past Summer to be able to do my work out tapes or count calories and all that. Ya ya I know, excuses excuses. My hubby always jokes that my favorite saying is “Tomorrow”, yep tomorrow I will start my diet or eat better.

A few years ago I was at a very heavy weight and wearing a size 20/22. I had lost 80lbs and went down to a size 6. ( This picture above on the right was probably me wearing a size 12,not exactly sure though )  Unfortunately over the past 2 or 3 years I have put it all back on and then some! =( I’m not proud of that and pretty ashamed actually. I feel so out of shape and get out of breath so easy.  I know it’s because of my weight and because of the food I eat. I’m really hoping after changing the food in the house and eating better and getting more exercise that I can get back to where I was before and feel better and healthier.

I will be tracking my journey and hope you will follow along in the coming months to see how I’m doing.

Thanks for stopping by…

Good luck with the weight loss. It is hard in the beginning, but worth it.

  • Nikki Dargantes

  • Eliz Frank

I know this story well, been there too, and wish you much success in your effort. You’ve done it before and can do it again.. Go for it!

  • paulina

Best of luck with your weight loss. I am in the same boat. Its hard work but worth it.

  • Payal Bansal (@TrendsnHealth)

Don’t lose hope, you did it earlier and you can do it now. It time for a new change 🙂

  • Rosey

Wishing you so much luck. We had a birthday yesterday so there’s cake in the house. I had a slice and it instantly made me tired. Junk food just slugs me down and wears me out!

  • Tamika

I have been on my weight loss journey forever. You look amazing though. I just take it day by day and try not to stress over it and some months, I’m down and some months I’m up, but I figure the older I get the harder it is to keep it off. Thanks for sharing your journey with us.

You’ve totally got this! Especially since you’ve already started replacing unhealthy foods with healthy alternatives. They do say that abs begin in the kitchen. 😉

  • Rena McDaniel-The Diary of an Alzheimer’s Caregiver

Good luck! I no how hard this journey is because I have been doing the same thing. Just trying to eat healthier and make better choices. I have already lost 28 pounds just by changing my eating habits. I have faith that you will accomplish your goals!

I too love saying “tomoorrow” in regards to when I’m going to start working out. Good luck on your weight loss journey.

No one should be ashamed of their weight. I think we can all find confidence in ourselves no matter what we weigh. I am size 16/18 but I have more self confidence than I did when I was a size eight. It’s not about how much you weigh, but how you rock what you have!

  • Lucky Seven Ten

I recently went from a size 2/4 to an 8 so I can relate. Weight is a very difficult battle but stay focus and know that being healthy is the most important part.

  • Mrs. Mashed Up

Glad you are getting time to work on yourself. It’s super important. We spend so much time on others, we really have to spend some time on ourselves as well.

  • Wanderin Poet

You can lose the weight again!

  • Natalie

Yess!!! I cant wait for the older two to go to school tomorrow, though I’m not excited to wake up at 6am though, lol. However, I need to get my butt in gear with losing weight as well. Wish I didn’t live in the middle of no where and had a car, I could just go somewhere to walk. Good luck to you.

The best change is always the food you eat. Once you make the cross over and get adjusted to living without the junk food you will begin to feel better and that leads to more workouts.

  • Vanessa

Eating out less and keeping colorful fruits and vegetables within reach will really help. Also have a set of light weights in reach and walk around with them doing upper arm reaches, parallel lifts and more. You are already doing a fantastic job!

  • celebbabylaundry

Congrats on the journey of your weight loss! You’ll make it to your goal in no time.

  • Catherine S

I am sure you will get to your goal. You have taken the first step by getting rid of the junk food. I look forward to reading about your journey.

  • HilLesha

You can do this! I started my weight loss journey earlier this year. I first started out on Nutrisystem with minimal success, and then I started using this app called Noom, which has been extremely helpful. Not only it is a weight loss tracker/calorie counter/pedometer, but it has a built-in support group. Everyone is so encouraging in the support group. I’ve found the most successful way to lose weight is support. 🙂

  • Chrissy

You can do this, I know you can! Good luck and I’ll be followeing your journey 🙂

  • Michelle F.

I have been on a weight loss journey since January and have gotten looser during the summer. Today I am making it a point to be more serious and put more efforts. Can’t wait to hear about your journey.

  • Scott

Good luck in your journey! I think the second time is harder because you know how long it will take, but with the right frame of mind you’ll do it!

  • FamiGami

Bonnie, if you put in the effort, you will reach your goals. NOTHING is accomplished simply by wanting or wishing for something – you need to act on it!

  • Nancy

    Looking good!! 🙂

Good luck with your new journey! I think it is great that you ditched all the processed foods- much easier to just not even have them in the house. Hopefully your family will be very supportive of you as well, that will certainly help!

  • Roch

How do you manage to tell your kids not to eat junk food? I know that it’s a parent’s common dilemma.

  • Kath Rivera

Change is good, still look good even if you have this weight. I will support your journey to weight loss!
