Weight loss Journey 2015! Week 2!


Hey everyone! It’s been 2 weeks since my husband and I have started our Weight Loss Journey for this year. I have not been tempted to stop at a drive-thru or grab unhealthy snacks while out shopping and my husband has done very well at staying away from all types of soda. We have been drinking a lot more water and have started to include a daily vitamin as well.

I think my body is wondering where all the crappy food is because I’ve been feeling different. I thought I would be feeling better as far as fatigue and energy but still experience those. I know it’s going to take time and it’s well worth the wait. I’m sick of being fat and not being able to do a lot of things.

I really wanted to start exercising this week because I know it goes hand in hand but damn how does anyone find time to do that? I really would like to know. After a long day and I start to get a moment I realize it’s time for the kiddos to go to bed and by that time I’m exhausted. I used to exercise at night and just may have to do that again. I wish it wasn’t so darn cold outside right now so we could walk as a family around the block or something.

During the week I have been tempted to step on the scale before weigh-in day but didn’t cave in. I think I like it better weighing in one day a week versus jumping on the scale all the time like I have done in previous years lol. Seems like more of a surprise that way.

I felt that I had a good week but haven’t noticed any clothing getting loser or feeling any lighter so I wasn’t sure how this week was going to turn out. Our progress this week was….

I lost 3 lbs and so did my hubby. =) So my total weight loss to date is 9 lbs and my hubbies 6 lbs. I really thought that I would have lost more being a bigger person but I’ll take that 3 lb loss. Since it has been 2 weeks we also did body measurements. My husband really only has a small tummy to work on where I have everything to work on. =( So far he has lost 2 1/2 inches and that was all from his waist and I lost a total of 2 inches combined. For some reason I gained an inch around my waist imagine that lol. Go figure! Maybe I measured wrong the first week?

I’m feeling very confident about our changes this year and can’t wait to share our continued success and struggles every step of the way.

    I have been doing a 10-day green Smoothie Cleanse as well. Cravings are so hard and I felt miserable. But I did find a lot of water helped me. Best of luck and great work so far!

    You are doing an amazing job! I found that taking baby steps is working a bit better for me this year than trying to do it all at once like years passed. I think thats why I gave up.

    I think three pounds is fantastic! Maybe you could exercise in 15-minute increments? I’ve read that it is still very effective, even if you don’t do a half hour or 45-minutes all at once. Thank you for sharing your progress!
