Weight loss Journey 2015! Week 3!

Weightlossjourney2015week3 Hey everyone and thanks for stopping by to see how our week 3 went for my husband and I in our weight loss journey 2015. For those that haven’t been following since the beginning of the year,  my husband and I started our journey together in hopes of not only losing weight but to get healthy and hopefully get rid of some health problems we currently experience. Every week I post about our progress from the previous week and our weigh-in results. Every first of the month we are taking photos to share our progress as well.

 For myself I have a lot of weight to lose, a 125 lb weight loss is my goal. My husband doesn’t really need to lose too much but since he’s a diabetic it’s a great idea for him to eat better and stay away from sugar.

This past week I have started to incorporate some exercise into my day. I have found that I can exercise every evening and have been doing so almost every day. My husband has been doing his own thing by using an ab roller and doing push-ups, sit-ups etc and I have always had great luck doing exercise tapes. One of my favorite exercise tapes is Rockin’ Body. They have a few different tapes and some get pretty intense. I’ve been doing the easier ones and pretty proud of myself for being able to exercise a little since it has been so long since I have done so.

We have still continued to eat healthy and use as many fruit and vegetables each day in our meals as we can. I love making new recipes for my family and love that they enjoy them.

The results from our third week are.. I’m down 3.6 lbs and my husband is actually up 1 lb this week. My total weight loss to date is 12.6 lbs and my husband 4 lbs.

My goals for this week are to increase exercise and maybe eat a little less at each meal time.

    That’s great to hear! I wish you luck on y our weight loss goals. I’ve got about 75 more pounds to go in my journey, so I’m right there with you both. Congratulations on the weight you have lost. Remember, muscle weighs more than fat, so even if he has gained he’s probably gained muscle from the ab roller, etc. I look forward to seeing your next post! 😀

    Congrats on the loss! I am trying to get my motivation to start working out again. I started heavy bag training and took a few days off for holiday stuff. I need to get back to it and to my treadmill.

    Great job! I love doing exercise videos too, but now that all the kids think it’s their exercise time too; I’ve given up and go to our local Box for my workouts. Definitely my personal time there! Don’t forget as you move further through your videos and you don’t see numbers dropping off the scale, it’s because your gaining muscle and that always weighs more than fat! Keep up the good work!

    You both are doing fine on your weight loss journey. Slow weight loss is always better then fast–it stays off that way!! That 1 pound increase your husband had could simply be water which will come off in a day!!

    Sounds great! I haven’t ever heard of this. I need to get back into weight loss. I watch and follow along to work out vids on YouTube. It keeps me going back I need to get into an actual routine this sounds like you are doing a great job!

    I have never heard of Rocking body. I will have to check it out. I am certainly a fan of Zumba. I also am trying to lose weight and get more healthy. good for you getting your husband on board.

    I have never heard of this program. I prefer going to the gym but I know a lot of people who work out from home. I don’t think I would have the motivation!!!
