Weight loss journey week 7!

If you have been following our weight loss journey since the beginning of the year, you know that we have had quite a great year so far regarding weight loss. Last week started out poorly but turned out to be pretty great and ended with a 5 lb loss for the week.

Week 7 seemed to be going okay. I was able to exercise a little bit more while still watching my knee that I seemed to have messed up from exercising a few weeks ago. Towards the end of the week I felt like I did not lose. I’m still baffled that I had lost 23 lbs so far because I can’t really tell where. Sure enough I was up 1 lb this week and my husband is up 2 lbs. I think it is because for me at least probably ate more at meals then I should be. We don’t count calories or weigh anything out so we are always just guessing.

I do feel a bout of depression coming on and while just starting week 8 now I am in a funk. Seems like nothing works out for our family and we always have bad things going on that is thrown at us a lot. We will keep truckin though and keep moving forward, that is all we can do. Hoping next week turns out to be better.

    I hope this week goes better for you. It’s tough to get stuck and feel like you aren’t making any progress. But keep after if and you’ll see the scale moving again.

    Focus on the main goal, making the lifestyle changes that will reinforce better eating habits. Start there! There will always be ups and downs, and ‘plateaus’, but as long as the changes are starting to stick that is what counts, don’t give up, stick with it, we are all rooting for you!

    Hang in there. I have a lot of weight to lose, and I had to stop getting on the scale because it made me so sad. I couldn’t be proud of my progress because I kept thinking about what was to come.

    Patience is needed when you are trying to lose weight. It’s never consistent but if you keep doing what you do, you will achieve your goal.

    If I can suggest one thing, it’s don’t let that funk stop you from continuing. I’m the WORST at continuing if I’m in a funk. It’s bad. I think you’re doing amazing, and i need some of your motivation!

    Don’t feel down! Even if you are up a pound, you’ve still LOST 22 pounds! That’s amazing! Maybe you’re gearing up to lose more. Sometimes you’ll actually gain a pound or two before dropping even more. It’s fluid from burning off the fat in your body.

    Hang in there, you are doing a great job. There are going to be obstacles when it comes to losing weight. You could have water weight gain or something else going on. Keep at it remember that it is a process and that you are looking at the long term goal. This is a small setback and you can overcome it.

    Depression sucks especially if you are in pain. I have chronic pain and fibromyalgia and its very depressing at times. Its a cycle and I know it. I always try to go outside and spend a bit of time with the family. The sunshine and fresh air always makes me feel a little bit better. I also found that opening the curtains to let a bit of sunshine in helps too.
